Lu Carbyn: The Ups and Downs of Thirty-Five Years of Wolf Research

Lu Carbyn is an emeritus Research Scientist with the Canadian Wildlife Service and Adjunct Professor at University of Alberta, Department of Renewable Resources. His research projects have included avian ecology, ecosystem studies (grassland ecology) and, more extensively, studies on large mammals in Canada's western and northern National Parks. His studies on wolf ecology extend over a 34 year period. He has published more than 100 papers on the ecology of Wolves and Swift Foxes and is the author/ editor of several books. His international involvement included two short assignments involving wolf projects in Poland and Portugal and he is a member of three IUCN SSC committees.
