There is finally proof that Idaho's wolves have produced their
first litters.Nez Perce tribal biologists found the first litter near the head-
waters of the Selway River in the Selway/Bitterroot Wilderness.A few days later other biologists discovered a litter in the mountains
east of McCall, Idaho, on the Payette National Forest. The number of pups and the wolf number of the parents are not yet
available to me.It is suspected that as many as 7 litters may have been born to Idaho
wolves this year.
