Pen breakdown for new Yellowstone wolves

The wolves were trucked from Bozeman, MT, arriving in
the Park at 5:30 am on Jan. 23.

An adult male and female were placed in the new pen on
the Blacktail Deer Plateau.

Five were placed in the new Nez Perce Creek pen 10
miles north of Old Faithful. The five were an adult
pair, two female pups and one male pup.

Four were placed in the old (from last year) Crystal
Bench pen. These four included an adult female and
two pups from one pack and another adult male from
another.

This is interesting because last year the wolves
placed in each of the three pens were from the
same packs.
