Absaroka Range from near Emigrant, Montana. Paradise Valley
The Absaroka Range of Montana has no relation to the Absaroka Mountains of Wyoming.
The Montana Absaroka begin at the north boundary of Yellowstone NP near Gardiner and extend northward
about 30 miles. The range is also about 30 miles wide with the
Paradise Valley its west boundary and
the Beartooth Mountains its east.
Numerous wolf packs have come and gone in the range and the Paradise
Valley since the wolf reintroduction.
Perhaps the longest lasting pack has been the Mill Creek Pack.
