Almost 50 miles long, the Gallatin Range begins in Yellowstone Park at Mount Holmes and marches northward to its official end near Bozeman, Montana. Some might consider the Bridger Range, a northern extension of the Gallatins.Electric Peak (10,992 feet) is the highest elevation.
Presently it is home to the Cougar Creek II Wolf Pack (in Yellowstone Park), the Chief Joseph Pack (north of the Park) and is part of the range of several other wolf packs.
