Hayden Valley. Yellowstone National Park

The Hayden Valley in central Yellowstone is one of the most important places for wildlife in the Park. It has long been known as one of the places most favored by grizzly bears.

The open aspect of the valley beckons you to take a long cross country ramble. It's great with all open greenery and wildlife, but you must be very much aware of grizzlies if you do it.

In recent years, wolves, especially the Nez Perce Pack, used the valley.

Now that the Nez Perce Pack has bit the dust. The new Hayden Valley Park is primary, although it may be pressured by Mollies Pack and the newly powerful Gibbon Pack.
