Wyoming Range, Wyoming

It begins near Hoback Junction about 10 miles south of Jackson, and runs southward until it joins with the parallel Salt River Range to become the Commissary Ridge. The flowery top of the range has many elk in the summertime and quite a few bands of domestic sheep. Beginning in 2003, the Wyoming Range was part of the territory of the Daniel wolf pack, which was at the end of 2003, largest wolf pack in Wyoming outside of Yellowstone National Park. Illegal poisoning and conflicts with livestock ended the pack in early 2005 The Daniel Pack regenerated, however, most likely by migration of Yellowstone and Jackson Hole wolves southward. The second Daniel Pack was killed off by the government too. .
