Volunteers successful so far keeping wolves and sheep apart in Sawtooth Valley

July 9, 2001

Despite the somewhat negative article in the Billings Gazette by Jeff Tollefson on the Whitehawk Pack situation, there have been no more sheep killed by the Whitehawk Pack and the wolves don't appear to be in the Valley.

Five volunteers are on the scene working with the Nez Perce Tribe.  More are needed for the second half of July. If you are interested contact:

Fourth of July revelers in the Valley might have also played a part in sending the wolves into the mountains.
