Borah Peak roadless area in the winter-

Despite the great elevation of the Lost River Range, snow is usually relatively light. Some of these photos were taken in the unusually heavy winter of 1997. Even though the winter snow is often sparse, spring storms and summer thunderstorms can deposit fair amounts of the snow on the range.
