Gravel Mountain in the Teton Wilderness

Gravel Mountain is an oddly shaped mountain composed of sedimentary conglomerate rock. It rises in the far southwest corner of the Teton Wilderness. Its slopes are drained by Lava Creek and Pilgrim Creek. The country around Gravel Mountain is essentially trailess -- rarely visited -- yet it is not far from the tourist highways.
