The Little Lost River Valley

Lying between the southern end of the Lemhi Range and the Lost River Range to its west, the Little Lost River Valley is mostly semi-arid public land that provides fine recreation in the late spring and fall.  It is surrounded by the highest mountains in Idaho.

The Lemhi mountains are to the left.

Despite the scenic mountains, much of the valley floor has been overgrazed by cows on your public BLM lands, and the Little Lost River as a result is in horrible condition as the photo below shows.
